Aichi Medical University Cell Biology

He has been passionate about cell immortalization technology and manipulating chromosomes for the past ?? years. He came to Takeuchi through a connection from his graduate school days and endured his unreasonable demands. He stayed on at Aichi Medical University and continued to collaborate with him.

Originally from Shizuoka Prefecture, he studied human artificial chromosomes in graduate school at the Okazaki Tsuneko Laboratory (Professor, Nagoya University, Department of Science, discoverer of Okazaki fragments). He has worked at Nagoya University, Fujita Health University, Keio University School of Medicine, and as president of Chromo Research before assuming his current position. He is in the mainstream of molecular biology, a field that has been passed down since the late Professor Reiji Okazaki, so his skills in handling genes and chromosomes are genuine (Takeuchi's assessment). As a Shizuoka resident, does anything seem like a piece of cake to him?

Aichi Medical University Research Creation C

His specialty is glycoscience, and his speciality is proteomics analysis. He originally studied biology in the Faculty of Science and earned a degree in developmental biology. He calmly handles the various tasks that come his way. He has begun new research to bring out his hidden abilities. He is steadily developing the fantasy of Professor Kimata and Takeuchi, wondering if they can do something interesting by combining glycoscience, matrices, and proteomics.

Hometown: Ishikawa Prefecture Takeuchi loves Kanazawa and only talks about sushi, neglecting his research.

(Professor Emeritus)

A leading expert in glycochemistry and glycoanalysis in Japan.

He has been our spiritual pillar and has allowed us to continue our research in our laboratory.

The sight of him and Professor Habuchi working silently and diligently on experiments is awe-inspiring, both as a researcher and as a person. Their sincere dedication is a source of comfort for the members of the lab.

A leading expert in glycobiology. Former director of the Institute of Molecular Medical Sciences at Aichi Medical University. Whenever he doesn't understand something, the professor immediately turns to him for help and chats away, making him like a "frog staring at a snake" in front of Kimata-sensei. He croaks as he carries his bag and takes care of him... do they get along? (Thoughts from those around him...) Stay healthy and stay healthy!
